I liked the ease of selling Amazon features/two day shipping when the main supplier/it was necessary to be able to get the product quickly and place it in my car so that I can get my car as soon as possible. I have a 2004 Ford Escape with a 3.0 6 cylinder / 4WD xlt SUV. It took me quite a while to install this generator but I did it. The generator was solid and ran fairly smoothly. The seller has a lot of refurbished and new/OEM units as what I bought is original equipment from the manufacturer. I turned down most of the reviews for less cheap products, but OEM is the way to go. self-cools when installed next to the exhaust manifold behind the engine on the passenger side next to the bulkhead of the car. Just a note: The owner of the type of car I own has two options for installing this device. One is removing the Y exhaust manifold and risking breaking the studs in the fittings. Secondly: completely remove the intake manifold and carefully pull out the alternator. Then there was a third option I found on a YouTube video where it is taken out between the firewall and the engine by simply removing a couple of vacuum lines and pulling the alternator up between the back of the engine and the firewall. it's hard to do. but can be done. Keep moving and pull very hard. Or 4. Take the car to the mechanic and pay over $7,000 and let them do it. Hope that helps. But as for the alternator, it's reliable, delivering over 100 amps for your accessories and headlights, as well as charging the battery. You will understand the difference and see how it works perfectly if you buy an OEM or more expensive device. Don't buy a cheaper refurbished device.
