Fits my Mazda Tribute perfectly and works great. Good thing because they are the real PITA to change them. (You don't have to pull the passenger hanger to change the alternator, and they can't be placed very close to the catalytic converter where it will cook. What were you thinking, Ford/Mazda engineers?)

Replacing the alternator while driving is a huge task. There were several alternative approaches on You Tube, but I've followed Haynes' guide with great success. This is the same alternator you would buy at a parts store or store. I think a lot of stores are now using Prime too. The generator worked fine. Be sure to use a new belt and replace any damaged plastic clips to avoid problems with the mudguard. This is also a good opportunity to check the brake lines.

The generator itself did not work at all. It came with a document showing it was tested and passed, but after a long and difficult installation on a 2002 Ford Escape V6 (which involved taking the top of the engine apart or lowering the engine mounts from underneath) it did zero output voltage. So reverse the procedure and remove it before you go to the parts store and pay a much higher price than I should have done in the beginning. At least I wouldn't waste time and effort installing it.
