Review on Gates 36173 DriveAlign Belt Drive Tensioner Pulley by Fred Meeks

There was a squeaky noise and diagnosed these stock Toyota idler pulleys/bearings. Perfect fit, easy to install, may require a torque wrench to reach the required 29#. I strongly recommend swapping them all out, it's a very reasonable price, why not. Two #2 idler wheels (2 from Gates Auto Accessories 36173) and one #1 wheel (Gates Idler Pulley 36174) are required, these are NOT the main belt tensioner assembly but are 'auxiliary' wheels. The parts fit exactly on the 2005 4runner. Easy installation! Very impressed with Gates, never heard of them before but the quality seems excellent! Made in Canada, not China! More Gates parts are on the way now so I'm impressed.
