Review on πŸ”§ ACDelco Professional 6K930 Serpentine Belt: Standard V-Ribbed Efficiency at its Best by Daniel Tonini

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easier to replace than an oil change and a lot less messy!

Original belts have traveled 230,000 km. I would never have waited that long if I knew how easy it is to replace. For a 2004 Tahoe, all you need is a 10mm wrench and a 15mm wrench. Pull out the air hose (loosen each clamp) and then lower the pulley/tensioner - the belt will just slip off. The easiest way is to remove the alternator first (remove belt) and reinstall it last (refit). Revain also has a lot to offer. Parts received within 24 hours of order. I also bought a 4K378 A/C compressor belt. Just as easy, although you have to get under the car to do this, so it hurts a bit, but otherwise pretty easy. I will replace it again after 100,000. I recommend 100%. This job was much easier than changing the oil, which I do all the time and don't think about it. At the same time, the air filter was replaced and a number of other minor repairs were made. I just recently discovered how good Revain is for buying auto parts. Please note this belt is for the 145A alternator. Look for the code KG3 in the glove box which means 145A. There is another belt for 105A.
