Review on πŸ”§ Gizmo Dorks Polycarbonate Filament: Enhance Your Additive Manufacturing with Top-Quality Products by Nick Cleary

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Requires high temperature but prints fairly well.

This film surprised me, I've heard horror stories about polycarbonate printing, but I've had fewer problems with it than with nylon. (Note: the packaging the filament came in was not sealed well, so I baked the spool in a dehydrator at 60 degrees for 8 hours before printing). /s at a nozzle temperature of 270Β°C. I didn't try the larger pieces, but on the smaller pieces I made, warpage was minimal enough that adhesion to the substrate was never lost and interlayer adhesion was excellent. If I can get my firmware let me have more. Nozzle temp 270C, I bet it gets even better. (I have a full metal e3d clone but my firmware doesn't allow temperatures above 270). As such, it's exceptionally strong, although layer upon layer is obviously a weak point. Again, this is what I expect due to my 270c limit. Small problem when stringing or splitting. Nice translucent dark blue, some purple but pleasant.
