I can't comment on the durability of this product but I'm incredibly pleased with the performance and ease of installation of my MacBook Pro. I watched a video on how to do it yourself and swapped it out in less than 5 minutes. You will need a Philips 00 screwdriver (or a micro set from a dollar store and use the smallest screwdriver in the set). Keep an eye on the tiny screws and make a note of where the longer screw was removed so you can easily reattach the cover. Once installed, I just pressed Command +R when powering on, then opened Disk Utilities, erased the disk, then reinstalled iOS. I read in another review that the drive needs to be erased, so I tried that myself (so who knows if this is even a required step, but it worked for me, so I wanted to enable it). Even a complete beginner (me) managed to do it with no problems, so I'm sure you can too.
