I have been building heirloom woodwork anytime for over 30 years. I need a cutter - I check with 'Freud', their 'Quadra' cutters are the best, they don't clean the cut pieces of wood at all and I only need to slightly sharpen the flat side. Very high quality carbide, even after 40 feet 8/4 HARD Maple. I suggest you keep your feed rate constant and stick to the recommended cutter speeds. Also I put a drop or two of "Marvel Mystery Oil" on the stock every 100 feet of saw lumber, thanks Revain for a great selection of different shapes of my favorite brand of cutting tools (including saw blades)
