I have been building heirloom woodwork anytime for over 30 years. I need a cutter - I check with 'Freud', their 'Quadra' cutters are the best, they don't clean the cut pieces of wood at all and I only need to slightly sharpen the flat side. Very high quality carbide, even after 40 feet 8/4 HARD Maple. I suggest you keep your feed rate constant and stick to the recommended cutter speeds. Freud 38-106 Roman Ogee Bit 1-3/8" diameter with 1/2" shank I ordered a Freud Quadra-Cut Burr direct from one of their recent promotional magazines - part number 38-106 as pictured and in the advertising. What I received was a 2 blade chisel NOT the 4 blade Quadra Cut chisel presented and pictured in their ad. I called Freud.
