Other ergonomic hooks I've tried are too long and the handles are too flat to easily manipulate with a pencil. This hook is perfect. The Boye hook is smooth but grips the yarn securely and pulls it through easily. The length of the stem to the handle is just right for a comfortable grip. I wasn't looking for or expecting a speed increase, but with this hook it comes naturally. I've always used simple metal hooks, Boye or Bates, because they work well with a pencil grip but can be a little slippery, especially in cold weather. I am very happy with the texture and grip of the Tulip hook. I started with a hook but I'm hoping Santa will give me a full set by Christmas.
