Better than Lisle 24680 for my car

I ended up buying this non-vented system when I recently replaced the original radiator in my '99 Lexus ES300. I also bought it because I had previously bought a Lisle 24680 anti-spill system and the covers that were designed for Toyota cars with that system didn't work for my car. The cap with the Lisle system didn't fit my neck properly, while this ARES system not only fit right but seemed really reliable in quality (love the black baseball cap handles). My only complaint about the ARES system is that the piston keeps falling down (I manage to keep it up, but any slightest movement sends it back). The good thing is that the piston has a small tube in the middle that allows air to escape even when the piston is down. Anyway, I successfully and easily re-inflated my cooling system. ARES is slightly more expensive than the Lisle system but I think it is a more advanced system and if you have a 99 Lexus ES300 or other Toyota based vehicle with the same engine (1MZ-FE) then you should be concerned about the Lisle probably go for ARES Lid might not suit you (and yes I've tried other lids and combinations in Lisle and even tried matching the ribs on her lid to mine as a last resort - the result was unsuccessful (cooling seeps into the side, when I try to burp the system).

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Generally good but...
