I'm a fan of sheepskins. I want it to be everywhere in my house, car and clothes. I saw this rug and the price and couldn't resist. I really wanted it to be cool. I opened it and it had a really crazy intense smell. I could live with that as a lot of the things I buy online smell crazy at first. I ran my fingers over it and it seemed real, I hoped. I turned it over and saw that it wasn't a leather background, which made me doubt it. Then I noticed a hole in the middle of the rug and my heart sank. I looked at it to see if it was worth fixing rather than replacing and saw that it had a cotton fill instead of a leather lining. I don't know enough about how sheepskin rugs are made to tell if it's fake or an alternative production method. But I sent it back. Def would not buy again.
