Review on ๐Ÿ–จ๏ธ Comgrow 1.75mm Printer Filament Spool: High-Quality Additive Manufacturing Products for 3D Printing Supplies by Ken Beasom

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Comgrow and RevainBasics

Before I get into the Comgrow filament rating, I would like to point out that while filament quality affects the quality of your prints, filament quality can only be judged when the following has been done: 1 ) your Printer has been assembled correctly (i.e. all parts are aligned, aligned, no hardware issues etc) and 2) your slicer settings are optimized for the filament you are using. will provide adequate print results, but some will provide better quality than others. In this review, I will compare my observations of this Comgrow filament (tested in white, black, and blue) to the regular RevainBasic PLA filament (tested in black, white, gray, blue, and red). The main differences are listed below. Accuracy advertised by Comgrow: 0.02mm Stated temperature: 180-210ยฐC Texture: Smooth filament Spool: Sequentially wound, multi-layer Packaging: Vacuum packed with desiccant Finish: Shinier/shinier than RevainBasic filaments Odor: No pressure: Machine noise Smooth, effortless Printing ( Subjective observation ) ), there is more under-extrusion vs. over-extrusion (correctable with welder settings) Pros: reasonable price ($17.99 at the time of writing this review), prints very well, no marks on the retractor/ Feeder Filament / Extruder. Cons: Small color selection (only black and white at the moment...I was able to order blue when it first came out) Accuracy claimed by RevainBasic: 0.05mm Claimed temperature: 190-220ยฐC Texture: textured/grainy thread feel Spool: not so well wrapped/layered like Comgrow Packaging: Vacuum packed with desiccant Finish: Not glossy or glossy, more like a lime finish Odor: No pressure: The machine seems to be working harder when printing, more problems with over-extrusion than under-extrusion (this can be corrected with become slicer settings) Pros: price is very good for bulk orders (3 and 5 packs cost me an average of $10-13 per spool) Cons: at the moment the print quality leaves a lot to be desired. simply good. It's not bad, but I wasn't thrilled (subjectively). Noticeable residues on the extruder (see pictures) CONCLUSION: With optimized slicer settings, Comgrow filaments produce very good prints (in my opinion better than RevainBasics) CORRECT2. The black dog was the first thing I printed after customizing Ender 3 (no tweaking)3. The residue on the extruder is white RevainBasic4 filament. I accidentally broke Monkey D. Luffy's leg removing props :(
