Review on Mishimoto MMAI CLA45 14BK Performance Intake Meredes Benz by Srinivasan Bennett

Just installed my new Mishimoto CAI. Firstly there were no instructions, you have to go to youtube and watch the video the guy walks you through the installation and the video doesn't really describe the steps. Second, you have to reuse the OEM plastic bracket and intake from the stock airbox. At nearly $400, they appear to be simple parts that can be installed or pre-assembled into a Mishimoto airbox. Third, the Mishimoto airbox doesn't have room to attach an OEM wiring harness to the side like a factory box does. In addition, all the equipment consists of nuts and bolts of different sizes! Couldn't use the factory bracket which would have been nice if I didn't have to remove another factory part from my car. All in all I was very disappointed in the quality and complexity of the installation for the price! Took about an hour to install + and LOTS of tools! The appearance of the new system is not much different from the factory! Maybe a plexiglass window in that metal plate would be nice or something! Given the make and model of my car, my choices were very limited. I hope the gain in performance is worth it!
