They are almost identical to those sold in the late 1970's. There are 2 types; much more expensive with removable jaws and springs than these. For about thirteen bucks, they're great, all things considered. Remember everyone has 2 size ranges for different faucets. If you close the outer jaws and the faucet falls out, you must use the inner jaws. Release the clamp and push the tap deeper into the inner jaws. It makes the whole thing even more stable. They can handle the thread torque, but I wouldn't use them for anything that requires a lot more power. The workshops where I worked for decades used to have expensive machines, but my colleagues almost always had one. *This was NOT part of the promotion.*
