Cheap store rags are good for general use. The rating reflects the reality of rags costing less than a paper towel. Seams and other imperfections indicate they won't last long. Unfortunately I bought them because they were advertised as "lint free". The kit I received does not state this on the packaging and is certainly not lint free as every one I looked at already had surface lint. The fabric is the same as a regular rag that leaves lint on anything with texture. The packaging warns they will bleed, so wash separately.
