These mirrors are quite well made and actually have puddle lamps which is an added feature my OEM mirrors didn't have. They have an aluminum base which is stronger than the original mirrors. Installation was a breeze. INSTALLATION: If you're a DIYer like me, do yourself a favor and google how to remove the door panel. it will save you a lot of time. I suggest reusing the original nuts as they have a large wing washer attached that will hold the mirror in place better. At first I used the nuts that came with the mirrors but decided to reuse the factory nuts. They're a little heavier than the factory mirrors, so let gravity do the swapping: remove the bottom nuts first. The polypropylene insert is slightly thicker than factory so bear this in mind when tightening as many have complained about the gap after installation between the body and the base of the mirror. It's definitely a tow upgrade, and the bottom convex mirrors are big and very useful. UPDATE 4/22/20: The gentleman driving a Dodge pickup in front of my parked truck hit my driver's side mirror. My mirror has a small scratch. His mirror was blown completely out of the truck.
