Review on πŸ”’ Avid Rim Wrangler Block Pad Set: Ultimate Brake Performance and Reliability by Kevin Harmon

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Aluminum rims will eat up but have good consistent stopping power and modulation

If you've never used them they have good consistent stopping power with no squeaks. So that they don't rob, good modulation. The major caveat is that they will eat away at your rims and you should inspect the brake pads every few hundred miles and remove any aluminum bits with an awl or pickaxe.

Pros
  • Excellent all weather performance
Cons
  • Intervals
