We live in a place where there is silica in the water. This is the hardest buildup of hard water to remove. I have tried every product on the market as well as many home made methods. However, when I was done, it looked even worse. As a last resort, I googled silica removal and the article recommended this product. I ordered it and with a bit of elbow grease and a repeat process it got rid of most of the buildup. I was very happy because I hadn't touched anything before. I think in the future I will buy a brush that fits the drill bit to help with removal.
