This thing is addicting!

First attempt out of the box I used this to assemble a headlight for a Buick with a broken tongue. The initial repair wasn't the best, but on reworking I found that using "weld rods" cut with a dremel from another old headlight using the same plastic with fibers inside was just what I needed for a good repair. I ended up using the three different types of brackets that are included to make the tab and attach it to the headlight housing. First I dry mounted a few long pieces of plastic to resemble a tongue. I then used wave staples to attach the pieces together. I used the rest of the "rods" to weld the old plastic to the new plastic parts. The tab turned out really strong and looked great! The dremel worked great using a tiny cutter wheel to remove the remaining staple legs that were sticking out. I ran around the house fixing everything I could find, even removing cracks. I have several clear plastic containers for my fridge that broke when I tried to pull them out when they were full. I've tried Plastifix and ugly old QBond to fix them with little success. This stapler allowed me to melt tears along with curled staples. After cutting the legs from the staples with a dremel, I covered the repair with strips of black Gorilla Tape. The boxes are solid and look great! I am totally buying these staplers for my hard-to-buy sons-in-law for Christmas. Best new toy I've bought all year. The bonus is that this isn't just a toy, it's a USEFUL toy! Trial and error shows you which settings to use for each repair.
