decided to take expert advice that the easiest way to be successful in a fitness program is to do what

When I was rollerblading and trying to be more active in my middle age, I decided to seek expert advice that the easiest way to be successful in a fitness program is to do what you enjoy. In the 80's I was a roll rat. I ended up with a pair of inline skates that got little use over the years, but my old quads didn't survive. Well, they were actually fine, but after having two kids, my feet didn't fit in them anymore. How could they after almost 30 years! So I did a lot of research before deciding on this one as my replacement. I know these are for derbies and not the kind of artistic boots I grew up wearing, but I wanted to give it a try and couldn't resist the fun colors. I love it but I'm still getting used to it. The brakes sit a bit low and I know I can adjust them. The "shoes" part fits quite comfortably, slightly larger, but I didn't want to go down a size. Maybe you can wear thicker socks. I can't pull the laces tight enough, but the velcro closure makes up for it. There is no ankle support so I feel I had to work a lot more on my calf muscles to stay upright and move. I went out with it twice and after a few laps my confidence came back. I can't exactly describe if they are smooth enough or not smooth enough. On the one hand I feel like it's pretty smooth on the first few steps, but then after a lot of laps when I want to accelerate I feel like I can't go any faster and I don't know, maybe it's something Some sort of unconscious safety mechanism kicks in to protect me, or as if I've accelerated to top speed on the wheels. Again, I'm not describing it well, and I have a feeling that using some tweaking tools might actually help. I don't care how old I am, I'm having fun again!
