This is one of the few adapters that indicates the size of the shank, which is important to me as it needs to fit a 1/4" collet not just a drill chuck. I went for the advertised 6mm diameter. (which is less than a quarter) and I'm happy to report that it was actually .249 inches. The overall finish is approximately that of an average grade 5 screw. I cannot report any run out issues as my application does not require much in that regard. Bottom line, a bit pricey, but certainly solves the problem with the Foredom Flex Shaft Adapter.
