The starter is quite difficult to install on this Gen 10 F150. But that's not the point because that's it no matter what starter you get. This starter is a perfect fit and meets the specs. I struggled with the position of the 3 mounting screws as well as one of them where the ground wire was attached and in all cases they had rust. I've used vinegar, white, or apple cider vinegar as these are acidic solutions that can be used to remove rust. After removing them, I submerged them completely in a plastic cup to prepare them for reinstallation. While they were on I used baking soda and made a paste of baking soda and water that works well on thinner metals including rust removal. on the bolt. With the original starter removed, it was with great relief and some not-so-kind attribution that I set it aside to compare to this product. Exactly. I had the horrible feeling that when I installed it, it DOESN'T WORK. I would be angry! So I took this starter to an auto repair shop who checked the starter and the tech confirmed the starter worked. He said that not only does it "work", it is exactly what the starter specs of this model should be! I installed it with confidence and the truck starts right up every time. I installed it for over 3 weeks and never doubted it would work. It also came with a sheet of diagnostic tests run on the starter motor. Good to know! Highly recommended.
