For my 2002 Ford Crown Victoria LX 4.6 was the correct starter but very difficult to install requires 2 people, long extensions to hold it on the bolt and one to hold the ratchet close!

Works well, solenoid dangles and spins, sounds like a dying bird when starting, can't contact the company, had to buy a new starter, it does. They don't make a terrible noise, they got lucky with their alternator but I wouldn't recommend this so never buy genuine parts

This is the second in less than 3 years, they work great until they stop. I believe when the first one was rebuilt by a competent craftsman he said the internals used in the starter were inferior. When this one runs out in a year or two I will have one that I know will last a long time. Made in China again

This is a great price compared to standard national brands. It worked great for about 4 weeks of frequent use. Unfortunately the solenoid failed at that point and I had to visit Napa and look for a new one. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone unless you need it until you can afford a reliable one.

I only bought this starter in May I think. It was defective because a part had already broken off when it was unpacked. There were no problems with the return. A few days later I received the next one. Now this one seems to drag/stretch when starting my car and is noisy. I think I have to put the old one in. I don't want to trust anyone anymore.
