I bought this device to extract stereo sound from my Apple TV's HDMI output and send it to Bose speakers. The sound quality was terrible. It sounded like a phone call from the 1970s. zero bass Could this be because the output power of the Apple TV's HDMI port is not sufficient to power this adapter? And maybe that's why some reviewers had no sound at all? Maybe. But this product has no other power supply. And the description doesn't say anything about power requirements or conditions where the sound might not work properly. Two stars because it's very cute, easy to use, cheap and simple.
