I bought this cable because I couldn't endure long trips without accessories so my phone could charge and still have directions. It worked great at first, but then (after about 1 use) it started flickering very consistently and constantly between my phone charging and not charging. This is terribly inconvenient, especially when I'm driving at night, because my phone would turn on and vibrate every few seconds as it was "charging." I was terribly dissatisfied, especially with how much money the tip cost. Please don't waste your money.
