I use a lot of sandpaper when I do "projects" and remodel houses. My little Makita was a workaholic and burned through sandpaper. If you're like me, over time you've learned the importance of throwing away your used discs and replacing your Velcro Pad regularly. For home use, the 5 inch backing pad is ideal. Velcro is used in these works. If you have problems, replace the pad on the grinder. It's always the problem, not the sanding pads themselves. This pad set includes all the grit you think you won't need until you do. For example, 1000 Git can polish some materials. Although I don't use this sand often, it's fun to play with. Depending on the material, I often change pads. If you sand pine boards, they should last a long time. I've used most brands and stores available such as Ace. This is a totally comparable product at a great price, shipped right to my door. What an amazing thing!
