Installed in a concert hall where we had to regularly move the position of our HDMI input to the projector. It's been a long time getting 20 feet in the air and rerouting a ridiculous HDMI cable. I rewired the whole club to CAT6e last summer but was a bit skeptical that this would work because the cabling literature is very keen that when using a switch it should be a dedicated switch with no management features or QoS. Well, all my cables end in a Netgear ProSafe 724 with dedicated VLANs and QoS settings for each club network (AV, Management, POS, etc.). In addition, the total cable length from stage to office and projector back and forth was over 200 feet. projector and it just worked. I hooked up the transmitter to each AV VLAN setup, and as soon as the transmitter powered up, the receiver picked up the signal again and started playing. Minimal latency for video, no noticeable artifacts for 1080p video. A famous band is performing this weekend. We got a call from their AV engineer yesterday to ask about our network wiring and if we had direct connections as their HDMI over Ethernet extenders were nothing but trouble. We could tell them that we have our own equipment which (so far) works perfectly. I haven't tested the IR extend feature as it's not needed on this site. I'll update if anything changes, but so far I'm very impressed and look forward to adding more to other sites.
