I was skeptical about ordering this antenna kit mainly because of the magnetic base. But the closest I could find was significantly more expensive and didn't claim as much profit. Anyway, this antenna set works great. No, it didn't get me an extra bar of service. I went from -112dB to -104dB, so I got 6dB, but that's not the most impressive thing. It doubled my download and upload speed. I ran a speed test on a 2.4GHz WiFi network and got 35Mbps and not 15Mbps. Download, about 1 Mbit/s went to 2.5 Mbit/s. So a serious improvement in the speed and quality of communication; especially for those who live in very, very rural areas. The magnetic base doesn't hold at all. At a speed of around 80 km/h, the antenna falls onto the trunk lid. I used a 1.5 inch magnet taped to the bottom and that didn't work. So I used T8000 glue to attach the antennas. I used a very small swab and it worked. Just a tip: For the best connection and speed, space your antennas 22-36 inches apart. Pros: light weight, long cable, speed increase, better connectivity. Cons: Terrible magnetic base, doesn't 'add' staves.
