Read the description carefully: The thickness is 6 microns not 6 mils. If your science class was many years ago, 6 microns is 0.2 mil, or two ten-thousandths of an inch. In comparison, Walmart's cheapest economy bags are 1 million thick, or five times as thick. Also, it's HDPE (high-density polyethylene) and not the more durable LLDPE commonly used for bin liners. The end result is that they have virtually no tear resistance. They don't just sting; anything with an edge, like a piece of cardboard or a folder, will open a long tear. Also a double pack, I don't see how they would be suitable, neither for the kitchen nor even for the office.
