Review on MICHELIN X-Ice North 4 205/55 R16 94T winter by Tik Tawan ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I definitely recommend buying, I didn't notice any disadvantages.

First impressions from the tires are encouraging. The initial response right after installation is noisy. It is now operational on my largus. After driving for a total of 500 kilometers, the antennae that came with the vehicle had become worn. Even on slippery roads, the vehicle starts without skidding and may be driven with complete confidence. The anti-lock brakes (ABS) did not function properly during severe braking. When one wheel is positioned on bare asphalt and the other wheel is positioned on wet snow porridge, it does not skid in this condition. When there is a lot of snow, things might get tricky. Before that, I wrecked two sets of tires by Cordiant: snow max and cross. However, on the ice, they slipped more when starting and slipped when braking, the ABS worked, but they went well in deep snow, and only 30 percent of the spikes were lost in four years. In comparison, the Michelin tires seemed to have a lower level of noise. Because I drive in the city as well as on the track, I have found that Michelin is the brand that works best for me, and I would never purchase a cordiant tire (before that I thought that I would not find a better cordiant). In four years, at the Michelin, I have no idea how many spikes will still be there. They are worth their money, and it is better to overpay a little bit and have a good time with the purchase. When I was driving on the highway at an average speed of 110 km/h, the fuel consumption of my 16-valve K4M engine (105 hp) was 8.6 liters per 100 kilometers, but when I was driving on summer tires, it was 7.6 liters per 100 kilometers. Feedback addendum. As someone who has experienced both winter and spring, I can attest to the fact that this is an excellent rubber. During the winter, there was not a single instance of an emergency that was caused by an abrupt stop or skidding on corners that were covered in ice. Probably because I never start with a slide, all of the spikes remained in their proper positions. I would suggest!

Pros
  • Does not slide on bare ice, maneuvers effectively in snow that has been freshly fallen, and the ride is enjoyable.
Cons
  • Sidewall that is noisy and mushy (hence 4 stars for durability)
