I love these ratchet shears!

I love these ratchet hand shears. This company is a great little family business and it shows. They emailed me personally shortly after my secateurs arrived. The scissors arrived on time and neatly packaged. I've used them over the weekend and found I can prune both dead and live branches. I've only used these secateurs to do everything. I cut small leaves from the branch, small twigs, and finally branches up to 3/4 inch. The larger branches were on pine trees and I found secateurs that worked great. I think some people may have never had a pair of ratcheting shears and will need some time to get used to them. This is my second pair, would still use my first if I could find them! I think they "borrowed" one of the kids. Who can blame them, they make pruning so much easier. Let's get back to the ratchet shears. If you're cutting a large branch, make sure you're cutting into the V of the blade and not just the tip of the blade. Now close the handle, open it, close it again. You may have to do this two or three times. But it will cut right through the branch, and your hand won't suffer when you try to cut the branch. Just follow the instructions to open and close the secateurs. Once you open and close a few times, it gets easier. It's like something completely new, a bit stiff at first. I'd rather have it that way than some of my gardening tools being so loose that they snap every time I use them. Very annoying. I think you will like these Ratchet Secateurs. Rating from an avid gardener.
