Very nice purchase! If you're giving away these scissors, you need to convince the recipient to visit the site and understand how it works. And you should know that they need to be broken in, they are very hard at first. However, it's a much smoother and less demanding action for someone with some hand problems. I used them first and the action softened very quickly and was easier to block as I used them. I cannot recommend them enough. This is the best secateurs I have found and not a bad…

Terrible! for scissors

From the description and picture on Revain these pruners seem like the perfect answer to me. I have several medical issues that cause severe pain in my arms when using my current clippers. They have been described as being super easy to grab, squeeze and cut. The price dropped a lot and I bought them immediately. The product delivered did NOT match the picture. I didn't even have the strength in my hands to unlock the blades. I had to ask someone else to unlock them and even they got into…

without a doubt the best pair of scissors I've found

Several things at once. Side shears are great for flowers, but anvil shears in general are best for real pruning - apples, pruners, fruit etc. So far this is by far the best I've used in my cramped years of taming the outdoors. One of the best things is that the groove in the anvil is recessed into the actual solid plate, so the shears disappear below the level of the anvil. This means you don't have to worry about uneven sharpening, so you can snap off a few final drive strands when the…

I love these ratchet shears!

I love these ratchet hand shears. This company is a great little family business and it shows. They emailed me personally shortly after my secateurs arrived. The scissors arrived on time and neatly packaged. I've used them over the weekend and found I can prune both dead and live branches. I've only used these secateurs to do everything. I cut small leaves from the branch, small twigs, and finally branches up to 3/4 inch. The larger branches were on pine trees and I found secateurs that worked…

Good but not great.

For the price and the number of 5 star reviews I've seen, I expected more. First, drop most of those 5-star reviews. Anyone who has used scissors before, or has used them to any degree, would not be in their right mind to give this product 5 stars. When I saw the packaging I was disappointed. The scissors were packaged in a typical Taiwanese plastic/cardboard box that conveyed no value whatsoever. The label on the scissors was crooked and loose. A spare blade oiler was included in the package…
