Review on 🛏️ BedRug Tailgate Mat BMQ08SGTG: Perfect Fit for 08-16 SUPERDUTY Trucks with Factory Stepgate, Charcoal Finish by Brian Finley

Installed on a 2015 F-250. Of all the Bedrug products I have fitted to various trucks (full mat, bed mat, two other tailgate mats) this was the most difficult. This is in part due to the design of the Ford cargo sill grip and the fact that this BedRug fits over the factory plastic decklid. First, I highly recommend purchasing 5 plastic Christmas tree snaps (Ford P/N W713653-S300). They will need to be removed and reinstalled over the bedside rug, and you're likely to either break each one or warp when you take them out. At least that was my experience. The hardest part of the installation was aligning the holes that had been pre-punched in the bed mat with the holes for the screws and push pins. This is especially difficult at the top where the mat folds over the plastic tailgate cover as you have to line up 4 layers of holes at once: med mat, factory plastic mat, med mat and hole in the tailgate. This requires some pushing and pulling, so grab an extra pair of hands. It's also helpful to use an ice pick or awl to line up the holes. Replace the 8 screws first as the bed mat is very tight. A few plastic push pins don't quite hold up, but they still prevent the case from moving, especially when combined with Velcro. and out of bed.
