Review on ๐Ÿ”ง MOOG Chassis Products K8672 Axle Pivot Bushing: Premium Quality and Durable Replacement Part by Buddy Colbert

Revainrating 5 out of 5

95 F150 2WD XLT - for 1/2 " studs

Some trucks come with 1/2" studs, some come with 5/8" studs (according to Moog). for a 1 /2 bolt. A 5/8 bolt uses a Moog K8300 socket instead. You can tell which socket you have by putting a socket on the bolt head. /8 will be larger. Torque = 120-150 ft- lbs -โ€ข Allow 0.210-0.290" (approximately 1/4") clearance between the lip of the bushing and the I-beam arm โ€ข After the forklift is on the ground with the load suspended, tighten the bolt Ironically, my truck came from the factory with a 1/2 bolt and a 5/8 socket (at least the original owner of the truck said it was never changed) so I'm not sure if it makes much of a difference, which bushing to use if you don't have a 5/8" bolt the K8672 axle swivel bushing will not work. I have used the Moog K8672 axle pivot bushing instead of the size that was in the truck because the ID didn't want the slop I changed the radius arm bushing and dampers at the same time, can't tell if that made a difference, it rides better but it might have been the same if I replaced it with the same size bushing.

Pros
  • Part number: K8672
Cons
  • So far so good
