Review on πŸ”ͺ Sabatier Non-Slip Poly Cutting Board with EdgeKeeper Pop-Up Sharpener - 11x14 inches: A Perfect Combo for Precision Cutting and Sharpening by Jessica Sanders

Ok but could use some improvements.

Overall, I like this cutting board. It works well for small cuts like small batches of veggies or fruit, and the knife sharpener seems to work well enough. However, it could be much better if some changes were made. Pros: - It's solidly built. The plastic is super strong and doesn't seem to wear off. The non-stick corners are built into the board instead of being placed on the corner. This prevents water from pooling under the non-stick surface and mold from forming (like the other chopping board I have). The non-stick corners seem to work quite well on our old Formica countertops. It does not slip during operation. The knife sharpener, while not the best, is handy for quick sharpening before slicing. I used it on a knife that was noticeably dull and after using the sharpener the knife definitely cut smoother. Not a scientific test, really, but it seems to work well. Can be washed in the dishwasher. We usually hand wash our cutting boards, but it's nice to be able to wash them in the dishwasher. Cons: - No grooves on the rim to catch liquid. I usually use a plastic cutting board for meat, but the juice just drips right off the edges of the board. It's a decent size, but not suitable for large amounts of vegetables. Not necessarily because of the board itself, but more because I can't use this board for cutting jobs, which I do quite often. In general? A nice board and knife sharpener is a nice bonus. With a few tweaks this would be my new board approach but as it stands it works well for small veg/fruit work.
