Review on πŸšͺ 3.5 Inch Self-Closing Door Hinge by AmazonBasics by Nick Whitman

Poor Design - Hinges

This is the worst self-closing hinge I've ever had to buy. It was very easy to install, simply removing and replacing the existing hinge. However, setting it up was a nightmare. As more turns you make with the Allen key (to achieve the desired torque to close the door), the inner cylinder begins to lift up and out the top of the hinge, which then blocks the holes used to insert the latch pin required are . So you can't get the right torque to actually close the door. He "almost" closes the door. It's very frustrating going through all these issues only to have a buggy/poor design sabotage you in the last step. DOES NOT DO WHAT IT SHOULD DO / NOT RECOMMENDED. Get another brand!
