Review on 🟑 1457 Yellow Diesel Fuel Can - No-Spill by George Walker

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The fill port is large enough for 12V tube pumps!

I bought a 12v inline diesel fuel pump to fill my John Deere tractor. It is very inconvenient to lift 5 gallons of diesel fuel to the level of the tractor filler neck, not to mention it is also dangerous to try to pour fuel down the funnel to avoid spilling or overflowing the funnel, and balancing on top of the front wheel and the other on the step stool, pinched and holding on to a five gallon cargo container! A 12 volt pump seemed to be the answer as it uses a sizable diameter, flexible, clear plastic hose and can empty a 5 gallon container in less than about 1 minute. No lift, no ladders, no funnels and no balancing. BUT I've found that I don't have a diesel fuel tank with a fill hole wide enough to fit a pump in the tank. I must have 4 or 5 fuel tanks and none of them fit on the pump. I searched every store that sells fuel tanks and none of them could get a hose pump. BUT, this is leak proof, has a very wide filling hole and the pump went in easily. No problem! I don't use lid filler except to seal the container. I no longer walk on a tightrope to fill my big tractor! Additionally, this container is very well made and generally thin, and it appears to be very durable.
