Spout leaks

Let me first say that I love the design of the spout. I have 3 NO-SPILL gas cartridges. I've had this can for less than two years, I've only used it half a dozen times, and it leaks when I pour it. Finally swapped today. I may have twisted it but judging by the reviews where other owners have experienced the same thing. I think the bank is to blame. Transferring from this can to the tank on our boat did a dirty job even with the right rags. I put the spout on very carefully before taking the…

Works great but even better if you put a vent on it.

Use it for diesel for my JD X749. Simply place on the fender handle with the spout in the filler hole and press the button. I hold this, open the vent and the jar empties in about a minute. All fuel goes into the tank. The vent came about when I bought a spout that never worked on my old Blitz pitcher, so I remade it. You can buy separate vent plugs and worth installing them. This fuel can is durable and will hopefully last a few years. The picture shows how I shaved the stem off, so when I…

The simplest canister for older women

I have swapped out all my old gas cans, kerosene and diesel cans for these. They are without a doubt the easiest to use without spilling as long as the spout stays intact. I usually order a few extra jets just in case a jet leaks on my six cans, which can happen when unsuspecting tankers turn the jets with force rather than skill. I have relatively small and weak hands and these cans are the easiest for me to void and stop voiding. In my opinion the only downsides are (i) the flimsy plastic…

I have several of these, best canister for the money!

The first time I bought one of these canisters was actually for gas. The 2.5 gallon version only has one handle while the 5 gallon version has two. They can easily cost twice as much as a cheap plastic can of petrol or diesel, but I'll say it's worth it. They swell in summer and shrink in winter, always keeping the air tight. It is very convenient to use, fuel will not splash on hands. My only complaint about it is that some of them claim to have an automatic stop like commercial suction…

PREVENT SPILLS! at Garage & Shop

I bought another 5 gallon can of diesel fuel and found it almost impossible to fill up my John Deere 1023E without making a mess. Diesel is a much bigger mess than petrol when spilled, so if I don't mind spilling petrol, I REALLY care about diesel. The 1457 leak proof diesel canister doesn't release fuel until the button is pushed so I can mount it on a tractor seat or fender with a spout in the tank and just push the button to fill the tank. The only downside is that it doesn't drain out of…

Buyers (and boaters) beware! watch the video

This jerrycan of diesel fuel is just what I need to fill the fuel tank on my 30ft sailboat. I didn't want any of those fuel cans with those pesky "lock-up" injectors that are so hard to use. That should be perfect because I can leave the fuel canister on the cab floor, then tilt it until the nozzle is in the fuel filler hole, and then press the button to start refueling. The problem is that the overflow protection does not stay on the fuel can. There is a design issue with the thread engagement

The best "gas cartridge " I've seen in years!

Many of today's gas canisters are hideous. Every time I use it, I find gasoline/diesel/kerosene spilling everywhere. Especially when filling small tanks like lawnmowers. Either when heated in the sun or just on a warm day, it creates an overpressure inside the glass. I cherish my "original" Blitz cans with the little yellow vent cap and retractable flexible spout, but these are no longer available. I recently had a fancy sliding neck that fell apart on a nearly new and branded diesel fuel can…

The fill port is large enough for 12V tube pumps!

I bought a 12v inline diesel fuel pump to fill my John Deere tractor. It is very inconvenient to lift 5 gallons of diesel fuel to the level of the tractor filler neck, not to mention it is also dangerous to try to pour fuel down the funnel to avoid spilling or overflowing the funnel, and balancing on top of the front wheel and the other on the step stool, pinched and holding on to a five gallon cargo container! A 12 volt pump seemed to be the answer as it uses a sizable diameter, flexible…
