Easy to install and very easy to clean

Our old toilet seat broke and I wanted an all plastic seat as the wood was starting to wear out which is just annoying. Due to a misunderstanding, my family ordered 2 toilet seats, both plastic. A Kohler (https://amazon.com/K-4636-0-Grip-Tight-Quiet-Close-Quick-Release-Quick-Attach/dp/B000TF1L18) and this one. Pros to both: They have metal screws (as opposed to plastic in the broken one) and the seats are all plastic so hopefully they won't wear out. Cons for both: I'm used to the toilet seat closing when I push it lightly. They just hang in the air. I guess as they get used more they will fall off completely but so far we have had to close them. However, I definitely prefer Bemis for two reasons. First, installation was easier. The Kohler hinges came loose when I tried to tighten some of the screws on the bottom, so I had to loosen and align them a bit to keep the plastic pieces from coming loose. Bemis has a longer piece that tightens around the screw and snaps into place with no problem. Second, the Kohler has a loop all the way through the back and I can easily see that it picks up nasty stuff and is difficult to clean. However, the bemis has an opening when the seat is folded up and there is actually a slot in the top of the seat for the lower part to fit. That means it should be a lot easier to wash anything uncomfortable off the seat. We installed both toilet seats as we have 2 toilets, let's see how they wear out over time. :)
