Great little Scotch-Eye

If it's easy to add to my woodworking toolbox, it will go a long way in teaching Boy Scouts how to work in the woods. The blades are super sharp. Be sure to apply a thin coat of oil to keep it in good shape. It has a shorter cutting edge and length than some of the others, so it's probably best suited for installing hooks rather than carpentry work, except for boards no thicker than 4-5 inches. I really like the blade/handguard, although it would be nice if it was leather like the sheath. That's skin". The case itself is fine, but thinner and cheaper leather. Everything will be fine, but I've oiled/waxed mine to keep it from drying out and cracking. It just has that feel. Best thing I think is a sharp eye that can be used to shave perfectly round pins that fit snugly in the hole just drilled. Now all I need is a beveling tool of the same size.Think next time I'll check!
