Review on ๐Ÿš— AutoLine Pro Automotive Smoke Machine Leak Detector EVAP Vacuum Diagnostics Tester: The USA-Made Economy Series by Gerardo Cibrian

A wonderfully effective remedy!

After a few weeks of use in my workshop I can say that this machine is damn efficient. Leak diagnosis can be completed in minutes. I've found it turns mineral oil into thick smoke which is then pumped into sealed systems like air intakes, exhausts and so on. Wherever there are cracks, smoke will seep in and this will identify the source of the leak. It's so efficient and quick to use! To connect, simply connect the power cables to the positive and negative terminals of your car's 12V battery. Then plug in the air compressor and you're done. Now I have 3 of these running, 2 in the shop and 1 at home. Enormous time savings! Pros: - Fast and easy to use. Can find typical leaks in minutes. (Tip from experience: use a flashlight) - Works with almost all closed systems such as intake manifolds, exhaust systems, etc. and mineral oil is even safe for oxygen sensors. Believe me, I've tried. Still, I would cover the MAF sensor just in case. - Features a very safe 1psi air regulator to keep your system from exploding. - Compact. You can put everything back in the box it came in for quick storage. CONS: - The device requires mineral oil, which is not included. I had to go shopping at Walmart for a few dollars. The air connector allows you to quickly connect a connector from any air compressor. But I don't understand why you can't use a hand pump for this. The kit does not include an EVAP port adapter, but you can simply disconnect the EVAP hose and use the included universal nozzle. If you have one at the store I would recommend an EVAP port adapter for a much quicker diagnosis. UPDATE July 20, 2017: It's been 4 months since I bought 3 of these (2 in store and 1 at home). Everything still works great. Pretty impressive for such an affordable diagnostic tool. I only put mineral oil in once or twice from the ones I had at the store. Which cost me less than $3. There was a question which mineral oil would be best and the seller responded very quickly. Use normal mineral oil! It's cheaper than baby oil and baby oil smells a little. Good customer service, great product. I'm happy, just thought I'd let you guys know.
