This turned out to be a really great thermostat for an incubator I built for hatching chicken eggs. I connected the heating side to a heating lamp and the cooling side to a fan in case it gets hot. This unit also has alarms that can be set to sound when the area you are heating or cooling gets hot or cold. There are a few other settings that aren't relevant to my use, but I could see them being used for a variety of purposes. There is also a setting to toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit. My only complaint is that the heater relay has stuck on a number of occasions, causing it to continue to heat up even though the controller says it's not heating up. I just tapped the controller a few times and the relay went off for the time being. This only happened a few times with at least 1000 hours. Overall I am very happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone who needs a small universal thermostat.
