While this peephole offers a wide (220 I think, but doesn't make sense unless your house is round) viewing angle, the angle under the peephole does not. In other words, if there's a box in front of my door or (hopefully not) someone kneeling in front of my door, I can't see it at all. I replaced my 35 year old peephole with this one but wish the old one had a better viewing angle. I returned to the market looking for a better product. In addition, it is a well-made peephole, sturdy and made of solid brass. At first I thought it was the right solution, but unfortunately it's not.
