Bought again; I have 3 of them, in plain plastic and in black. The regular plastic type has a bottom flap to access the microSD storage slot, not the black one. The normal one lights up the flashing LEDs on the circuit boards, you may/may not like that. I'm using a HAT board on an RPi 4B and it's fine (room for 1 or 2 more) and the case is easy to trim for mods. The fan is very weak, for some it helps if the lid is closed. I wrapped the fan in duct tape to vent air through the vent in the lid. I like the extra space in the accessory box, I have a battery and a UPS board that I put in one. This Pi runs 24/7 like a server, with a large fan on top of the HAT and an open lid for cable in and out on top. The cover is very easy to remove and put back on.
