Review on 🏺 Clear Ball 24 oz Jar with Wide Mouth - Pack of 2, 24 Ounce for Generous Storage by William Hood

Dishwasher safe, of course not microwave safe. No problem with the packaging or the condition of the glasses when they arrived. I enjoy heating up soup for a quick meal and this has been about the 5th or 6th time I've used the jar for this purpose. Two minutes at the top is enough. Only this time I noticed a leak (photo 1). When I pulled the glass out of my sleeve (luckily over the sink) the whole bottom had broken off (photo 2). It may be common knowledge that mason jars are not microwave safe. I missed that part of my training. The protective silicone lid on the jar definitely says it's microwavable, so I assumed that's how the jar should be. It's really not the manufacturer's fault that I was an idiot and put the jar in the microwave when I shouldn't have. The reason they get one star is because when I went back to the site and looked at each description, nowhere was it mentioned that these things were NOT microwaveable. The duty of heating the soup was the main reason I bought the jar and so I would definitely notice if it were clear.
