Review on πŸ“± Protect and Carry Your GPS with the i.Trek 5-Inch Hard Case (Black) by Todd Adams

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Deceptive of the picture

This is a good hard case that will probably protect your GPS. However, the picture is deceptive as the only accessories I can pack in the bag above are the car charger and instruction manual. A charger is enough, but I don't have one. Garmin's suction cup is a one-piece piece that cannot be bent or folded, so it won't fit in a pocket without one end or the other creating a bulge that could press against the GPS screen held below. Bottom when the bag is zipped closed, regardless of the lightly padded lid. I wouldn't risk damaging the screen just to put part of the suction cup in my pocket. Either Garmin has to find a way to fold the suction cup, or someone has to create a GPS case that fits everything that comes with the device in one case. I also have one of the friction mount sandbag holders, but I forgot to even squeeze it into this case. I've tried other cases too, some too soft and flimsy, some too small. I'll ditch this one though and just leave the suction cup and friction mounts in the glove box. It's hard to believe that there isn't a single hard case with enough space. Can send a man to the moon, but.

Pros
  • Inner mesh pocket for power cords, adapters etc.
Cons
  • Not sure
