With this kit it took me about 20 minutes to fix a broken bracket in the crank where the pedal bolts in. You just have to be patient as you turn on the faucet and turn it back at least a quarter turn for each half. twist, and when inserting the spool into the freshly cut lines, insert the correct end of the spool with the tool and insert slightly. Based on some of the reviews I've seen, I think some people put the spools/inserts in backwards.
