I spent a few hours wrestling with the OTG cable to connect a USB device to my Raspberry Pi Zero W. Couldn't get it to work. The Pi didn't see the USB device when I ran "lsusb". [The same USB device worked fine on a Raspberry Pi 3b]. I bought this hub, connected it to my Pi Zero W and my connection problem was solved. This is a great solution to the pesky USB problem on the Pi Zero W. Background: The Pi Zero/Zero W can be either a USB host or a USB device. The purchased OTG cable was not sufficient for my project. This hub solves the problem between host and device without any further configuration changes.
