Misleading photos, questionable functionality

As other reviewers have noted, the bolt cannot be fully retracted into its socket. In fact, about 1/2 inch of the clasp is left protruding. Therefore, it is not possible to mount the latch assembly and receiver close to the door and jamb. , it is possible to modify the assembly to allow the bolt to be fully retracted. However, when I purchase a new product I expect it to work as advertised/pictured with no major modifications. I have returned this item.
