Combi Bolt CB2000 CHR 4 Dial Combination Sliding Review

The product itself gets 5 star quality but is too big to attach to door frames. The only place it can work is on flat surfaces that need to be wider than 2 inches. I use it in my shed but it's not what I wanted it for! I wanted to put it on the doorstep. So to be honest, the product is well made and worth the money, but it's not as versatile as I was hoping.

As other reviewers have noted, the bolt cannot be fully retracted into its socket. In fact, about 1/2 inch of the clasp is left protruding. Therefore, it is not possible to mount the latch assembly and receiver close to the door and jamb. , it is possible to modify the assembly to allow the bolt to be fully retracted. However, when I purchase a new product I expect it to work as advertised/pictured with no major modifications. I have returned this item.

After more than 9 months of operation (including a cold and wet winter) this lock still looks and works the same as when it was received. Bought a padlock to lock our liquor store now that we are in our teens. I didn't want a key lock as we either got lazy and left the key available or lost it or the kids will find it anyway.
